Located on the Museumplein (Museum Square) in Amsterdam, just opposite the Van Gogh Museum, House of Bols Cocktail & Genever Experience, rated as the Nº1 attraction in Amsterdam by Lonely Planet, will take you trough the  “World of Flavour”.  Here you can touch, smell, taste and discover the spectacular world of liqueurs, Bols Genevers and cocktails while you find out all about the oldest distilled spirit brand in the world, Lucas Bols, founded in Amsterdam in 1575.

During this interactive visit you will know the amazing history of Lucas Bols, established in Amsterdam more than 438 years ago. In the “Hall of Taste” all senses will be stimulated while discovering the secrets of taste. Here you can ,  smell all 36 Bols liqueurs and touch the herbs used to create Bols Genevers and liqueurs during hundreds of years.

You will travel through more than four hundred years of history watching the Bols Geneverfilm.  Bols Genever, launched in 2008, combines the mixability of vodka and the soft malty flavour of whisky. Based on the authentic Bols Genever recipe, which dated back to 1820, Genever was one of the basic ingredients of cocktails.

This Museum is the only place in the world where the complete series of the Delft blue miniature houses, made by Bols in traditional Dutch Delft blue ceramics, is exhibited.

At the end of your visit you have the opportunity to select and drink your favourite cocktail served at the Mirror Bar. You also have the change   to taste two of the 36 Bols liqueurs.

– Tram: Lines 1,2 and 5  link in just 15 minutes Amsterdam Central Station with Leidseplein, from there there is only a five minute walk to House of Bols.
